 When it comes to sweetening,the first thing that comes in our mind is sugar.Sugar is the most often sweetening agent used in  every house.But it will surprise you,when you will know that sugar is bad for health.Yes sugar has many health issues like obesity,diabetes and many heat diseases but in moderation it is quite healthy.If someone is trying to build muscular body then he needs to cut off sugar from their diet,in general fitness it is acceptable in limited quantity.No doubt sugar will add taste in you food but will also increase caloires.
                                       Not every sugar is bad for health ,so do not worry about sugar much and read this article till end .There are two types of sugar good sugar and bad sugar.So the main confusion is which is good sugar and which is bad sugar.Sugar or sweetening foods are the most craving food items,so adding a good sugar is in our food will balance both,our health and taste of food.So lets talk about good and bad sugar in details.

The worst thing you can add in your food or drinks is added sugar.It is the most often sweetening agent used in ever home.Small sweet crystals of white colour made from sugarcane after some procession are known as refined sugar.Sugarcane is obtained from nature and it has many health benefits but the sugar obtained from it is proceed and refined.Many food items around us are made with added sugar like ice cream,candy,soft drinks,sweets etc.These all food items are harmful for health.Refined sugar have empty calories in it,which means it doesn't have any essential nutrients or vitamins in it,It just add calories to your body.Indian sweets are the worst food.No doubt they are very tasty and delicious but they are deep fried and made with added sugar. 
 But here is another phase of added sugar.We can have it in moderation.That sounds great right but the matter it about quantity.It varies from person to person,I am gonna tell you about average person. According to a study men can take 9 teaspoon and women can take 6 teaspoon of sugar per day,one teaspoon of sugar is approximately equals to 4 gm which means men can have 36 gm and women can have 24 gm of sugar in a day,as men can burn more calories than women.100 gm of sugar has 387 calories in it.One table spoon contains approximately 4 gm sugar in it.This calculation is for those who can not give up on added sugar,to let them know the healthy quantity of sugar intake.So in moderation added sugar is quite healthy but in excess it is harmful.It can increase your body weight by adding empty calories to your body,so if you are trying to loose weight then cut off added sugar from your diet plan.                                       

  2-Good/Healthy(natural)Sugar

Now,this is the best topic of this article you have been waiting for.Healthy sugar is all about natural sugar without any refinery(completely natural).Healthy sugar includes fruits and dietary sugar like fructose,glucose and lactose which gives instant energy to your body.Natural sugar comes from carbohydrates which is the most important and essential nutrient for our body as it provides energy to our body for work.Natural sugar are harmless for health which means they do not spike blood sugar levels,like fruits and milk.If you drink a glass of milk or eat a sweet fruit then it will also give you protein and healthy fat and other essential vitamins and minerals.

            Apart from addition in food there is another fruit which is known as date fruit.Dates are rich in natural sugar and carbs with 0 cholesterol in it.Dates are also helpful in lowering LDL(bad cholesterol) and increase HDL(good cholesterol).Dates also improves bone health and improves digestion.Dates can be also used for cooking purpose.
